Breakthroughs & breaking news from the medical experts at Prevea Health

GREEN BAY, Wis. – Prevea Health is pleased to welcome Dr. Tyler Van De Voort and Dr. Brittney Lemon, to the team of trauma and acute care surgeons at HSHS St. Vincent Hospital located at 835 S. Van Buren St. in Green Bay.

Dr. Van De Voort and Dr. Lemon grew up in Northeast Wisconsin and are excited to be back to serve their community following years of extensive training. As trauma and acute care surgeons, they specialize in general surgery, trauma surgery and critical care services.

“My general surgery training in North Dakota taught me broad-based general surgery and exposed me to the unique challenges that rural trauma systems face,” said Dr. Van De Voort. “During my fellowship I had the opportunity to take care of some of the most critically injured patients at a busy trauma center, which helped me become a confident and skilled trauma surgeon.”

“Completing my general surgery residency in a fast-paced and challenging surgical environment greatly increased my confidence and proficiency in trauma,” said Dr. Lemon. “This experience allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the importance of critical care while building the skills that are imperative in being a complete perioperative physician.”

Dr. Van De Voort is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. He completed general surgery residency through the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Following residency, Dr. Van De Voort became fellowship trained in trauma and surgical critical care at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.

Dr. Lemon is a graduate of Midwestern University, Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed general surgery residency at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago, Mount Sinai Hospital. After residency, Dr. Lemon became fellowship trained in surgical critical care at the Medical College of Wisconsin, Froedtert Hospital. She is board certified in general surgery and surgical critical care.
